Nursery - 0 through 24 months /Preschool - 2 to 4 years old

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

Philosophy. Rockwood Church values children and we want to give even the youngest among them every opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ and God's amazing love for them. Our goal is to provide a physically, spiritually and emotionally safe place for children in order that the children can learn about Jesus in age appropriate, fun and meaningful ways; and the parents can participate in the church service in a meaningful way, free of distractions.

We recognize we are a reflection of God's love and grace to those in our care and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Security, Safety and Sanitation. Our safety guidelines and security policies help provide a safe environment in the nursery. We use a banding procedure for checking the children in and out. Duplicate numbered wristbands are applied to each child and parent. Numbers are matched at pick-up time. Only the nursery leader and assigned helper are allowed in the nursery area with the children. Only the nursery leader will change diapers. All toys are cleaned and disinfected each week.
